Keystone XL pipeline undertaking canceled by developer

TC Power, the Canadian firm behind the undertaking, stated it determined to terminate the undertaking after a complete assessment of its choices and consulting with the federal government of Alberta. The corporate stated it could coordinate with regulators, stakeholders and Indigenous teams to make sure a secure exit from the undertaking.

The cancellation ends greater than a decade of controversy over the pipeline and marks an enormous win for environmentalists who argued the undertaking threatened the setting and would solely worsen the local weather disaster.
